The role of the curator has been expanded and transformed over the past few decades. The curatorial field currently finds itself in a state of rapid growth, historicization and self-reflection. The number of curatorial studies programs and publications about curatorial practice and history grows more rapidly year after year, reflecting both an increased interest and a desire to understand. There is excitement about this growth, but also concern about the increasing professionalization of contemporary curating.

With the PostCuratorial project, I hope to be able to contribute to the growing critical dialogue about new directions in curatorial practice. As the project begins, it will consist of:

While this will begin as a personal project, participation and submissions of content by others will be welcome. Future iterations of the project remain to be determined, but might include a journal, symposium, book or exhibition series.
